Paraffin refers to a treatment where paraffin wax is applied to the fabric. This gives the fabric body and stiffness while allowing it to soften the more it is used. The color of the paraffin itself gradually changes over time, so the fabric develops a unique patina with use. The thickness is comparable to 8-ounce canvas, providing a sturdy feel. It also has excellent water repellency, making it ideal for bags, hats, and outdoor gear.
*Please note that white lines (chalk marks) may appear on areas that are rubbed or folded. This is not a defect but a characteristic of paraffin. Please understand this before purchasing.
